There’s nothing like home
Nestled at the heart of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg holds a special place in our culinary journey. It's where Linnea and Lucy, the founders of 'comewatchuseatshit,' first crossed paths and embarked on their epic foodie adventure. Join us as we explore the vibrant food scene that makes Harrisburg a hidden gem on the culinary map.
Located on a quiet, tree lined street just a block from the Harrisburg Capitol building, HOME 231 is a seasonally driven, neighborhood restaurant serving classic comfort food with a modern twist.

📍BLACK N BLUE
Black N Blue packs a punch. They have killer bread and delicious pasta dishes. We devoured their Creme Brulee for dessert. Located in Mechanicsburg, right around the corner from Harrisburg, we recommend swinging by.
📍ALVARO BREAD AND PASTRY SHOPPE
Sal Alvaro and his wife Lina fulfilled their dream of opening an authentic Italian bakery in Harrisburg, transforming a once-abandoned building into Alvaro Bread and Pastry Shoppe, known for its fresh bread, pasta, and cookies.
📍VALLEY BISTRO
It’s difficult to find something not to like about Valley Bistro. They have a HUGE selection and quick service. Very popular with the locals and an easy pick for any pancake lovers. Give this affordable, delicious, brunch spot a go.
📍MILLWORKS
A restaurant, brewery, AND an art gallery. Shit, that’s awesome. Food and the vibes are great here. We loved their pasta and buffalo cauliflower bites. We’ll be back to try more things on the menu at Millworks.
📍CHEF DE CREPE
In the heart of Central Pennsylvania, this crêperie, inspired by treasured voyages to France, offers a taste of traditional and family-inspired crêpes in a charming Parisian haven.
📍BROTHER JOES
We’ve had a lot of pizza in the Harrisburg area. What’s our favorite spot? Brother Joes! Thin crust. Big pies. Not a chain, but a classic local joint. Much love for Brother Joes.
